SUSAN HATFIELD is a notable actress, singer, voice-over professional who kicked off a BFA degree in theatre with extensive work for Walt Disney World as an entertainer. She began performing with the popular Orlando theme park in January 1972 and went on for another 8 years to appear as “Slufoot Sue” in the Diamond Horseshoe Revue, “Lilly” on the Empress Lilly Riverboat, “Maleficent”, “Mary Poppins”; as well as singing with the Bluegrass Band “The Sandy Valley Boys”, pop group “Main Street Company”, and the “Pearly Band”. 1983 saw the grand opening of Tokyo Disneyland, where Susan reprised her role of “Slufoot Sue” in the Diamond Horseshoe Revue (in Japanese) and played “Dolly Drew”and “Flora”in the Hoop-Dee-Do Revue.
The magnificent Auntie Mame’s, a niteclub entertainment emporium in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, opened in July 1979 with Susan portraying “Everybody’s Auntie Mame” – a role for which she won “Best Entertainer in South Florida” at the Carbonell Awards Ceremony in November of that year. While in South Florida she was featured in countless TV commercials, on-camera and off, and appeared in over 120 professional theatrical productions. She won a “Best Supporting Actress” Carbonell Award in 1984 for “Company”, and was nominated twice in the same category for shows “No, No, Nanette” and “Baby”. For 7 years she worked in cabaret theatre under the auspices of the Caldwell Theatre Company in Boca Raton.
